John Jameson
Biography
John Jameson holds a B.S. from William and Mary, an M.S. from the University of Massachusetts, and a Ph.D. from the University of Virginia. His resume covers 20+ years of work experience at large national laboratories, government contractor companies, and startup ventures. He is also fond of an unforgettable work experience helping a fruit farm understand and forecast horticultural trends. Jameson worked in a variety of research domains, including environmental remote sensing, optical materials development for lasers, scientific visualization, nuclear analytical chemistry, rare earth spectroscopy, and chemometrics. He also ventures into fiscal, operational, and horticultural data analysis, as well as quantitative financial market modeling, putting his math skills to use. Jameson's present position is Senior Data Scientist at a small company, working on Data Visualization and Data Analysis.
John applied his scientific knowledge, computer programming, and data analysis skills in scheming the Trails plot line. His career-long affiliation with fellow scientists and engineers informed his development of the three primary protagonists. The research skills and patient learning habits he gained in the scientific workforce proved indispensable, as Jameson ventured into technical areas that were tangential to his own expertise. The novel represents his effort to present a suspenseful, yet educational, story that he believes nobody will ever forget.
John enjoys dancing, basketball, cycling, pinball, bocce ball, stamp collecting, gardening, flying drones, and cruise travel. He custom designs his own artistic stencils for ink pen drawings. John boasts extensive prior volunteer experience in his community for a variety of organizations. Jameson also speaks Italian at a near fluent level and Spanish at an intermediate level.
In high school, Jameson was voted “Friendliest” by his classmates; John cherishes his lifelong relationships. He holds a reputation for his lack of hesitation in helping a friend, neighbor, family member, or co-worker.
